It’s bad new for Bad Company guitarist Mick Ralphs. He will not be joining the rest of the band on their six-day reunion tour of Japan following an announcement that he requires surgery due to an undisclosed health issue.
But the shows must go on… and they did. Guitarist Howard Leese, who plays with Heart, filled in during Ralphs’ absence. The tour started October 18th and runs through October 26.
Best wishes to Ralphs for a speedy recovery!

Following frontman Paul Rodgers’ solo tour and a spring stint overseas, Bad Company is gearing up for a North American tour that runs between July and October.
The 13-city tour kicks off on July 16 in Indio, Calif., at the Fantasy Springs Casino and runs through Oct. 7 at The Joint/Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Catoosa, Okla.

Paul Rodgers has just released The Very Best of Free and Bad Company. This new album is “the first collection combining catalog material by two bands…” Free and Bad Company, both fronted by Paul Rodgers. It was released only in the UK to supplement upcoming shows scheduled by the newly reunited Bad Company!
After one week of sales, the album charted the #10 spot. This marks the first top ten showing for Bad Company since their 1979 release, Desolation Angels, and for Free since their 1991 release, The Best of Free-All Right Now.
The April reunion tour brings original Bad Company members Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, and Simon Kirke on stage for the first time in three decades.
